Can't see how to link to the video but it's quiet nice to see a (modern) Typhoon with invasion stripes!

Second video down at: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-two/1...

I was there a couple of years ago at the end of a bike trip around Europe. I met several veterans at Pegasus Bridge, and I have to admit to having tears in my eyes as they marched across the bridge. It was an honour to meet these men.

It was a drop by 4 x Herks and a Transall.
There were two USAF Herks which had a sedate flypast over Sword Beach about 2pm yesterday and thenn flew down the Canal. Did they overfly too?

I could only see the C-47 paradroop over Merville Battery & Pegasus from a distance. That must have made a few hearts twang.

Their was no drop at Pegasus. It was all at Merville. Obama,s "aircade" flew in today. Two Apache,s four Blackhawks. Two USMC ospreys and Marine One. He was having lunch with other heads of state at the chateau behind us.
