Elstree Aerodrome

I thought i would flag this as a good place to go for a coffee and some food now - new people have the cafe there and are slowly increasing their offering. There is quite a bit of car parking and on sunny days the activity is fairly high.

Elstree isn't far from where I live. I may just do that. Could you walk a dog round there too?

I went past there today - very slowly: it was afternoon school bus time and I think there was a road closure somewhere in the vicinity. Took me about 15 mins to get from the country park to the T-junction near the school (a distance of about 1/2 mile).

Thanks for the tip though, I'll definitely check it out (but not at around 4pm on a weekday!).

Big car accident with a fatality on Watling St near the road that leads off to the aerodrome. Many years ago the Professionals filmed a lot over there. A good place to enjoy some single engined planes and helicopters.
