That section of the A15 is traffic light controlled precisely because of the proximity to the R/W 20 Threshold. Why do you think there is a fence there that denies sight of the Threshold?

What would happen if the jet lost a donk and went in short? What would happen if he had to throw the approach away and overshoot with 'burner?

Flight Safety and Professional Aviator don't need a capital

Him being there wouldn't affect the jet - if he is going to pile in due to a problem or switch to burner then a car is unlikely to make any difference. He might think twice about roasting him with an afterburner though

As far as I'm aware they were filmed at a private airfield in California and all persons were there by invitation and I would hope aware of the dangers they were exposing themselves to and had worked out escape routes if necessary.
