RIAT pic's (84 so caution on mobiles)
Discussion
I thought I’d post some pics separately from the main RIAT thread to ease the options for looking or ignoring, particularly for mobile users.
Any how, cracking day - weather did exactly as the met office predicted.
A few pic's from me (hopefully lloyd h will be off bothering some sheep on a Welsh hillside rather than being along in a bit to embaress me
)

Some lovely kit there.
What's all the smoke amount the Apache?
It's a roll demo with pyrotechnics, the worrying thing is I think it was the same blokes they were 'shooting up' last week at Waddington where they thought they had dealt with them What's all the smoke amount the Apache?

Awesome pictures, i went on Sunday, weather wasn't great and meant a few flying displays were not quite as amazing as the 'Good weather' versions. Highlights for me were the SU22's, Italians in the Typhoon and Tornado were very cool and clearly trying quite hard, good shows from the CJ27 and A400 and the Gripen, the Apache and Chinook were also impressive.
The rest left me feeling a bit cold to be honest, even the Red arrows whilst probably the best display team out there still left me feeling a bit undewhelmed (perhaps i have been spoilt by previous exceptional displays).
Great to see and F15 and the P8 from the USAF. Did the Super Hornet even turn up on Sunday?
Love the Polish air force, MIG 29's last year, SU22's this year they just keep giving.

Great pics, where did you locate yourself for the day? I was in the Green Zone next to the Viewing Village, but even with 420mm on a crop sensor I felt an awfully long way away from much of it, much further than many of these photos.
I was located in the viewing village 'garden' area on the far right as you face the display line. Unusually for this year they didn't have a dedicated photography area in one corner as they have previously had. It's a nice place to see the display from, not too crowded, no need to carry your own seats and dedicated toilets and food vendors.Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
