Advert on ebay for a book about the MiG-21 which the author freely admits is just a compilation of stuff he's downloaded from wikipedia etc. I don't think he's even done that very well, given that the pic on the cover is of an F-16 !

And he wants £49 for it rolleyes

While we're on the subject of books to avoid; anything with Christopher Chant as editor, author or co-author, his output is dire and invariably riddled with poor editing and inaccuracies.

I have often wondered if Christopher Chant is a real person.

His name only appear on generic "History of Flight" type books - the types you see in Asda or M & S. You never see his name in respected publications such as "Aeroplane Monthly" or "Flypast" - and you never see his name on specific type histories or specific histories of aviation technology or events.
