or not: Having just flown on a brand new A380, my wife asked me why do they still put cigarette stub plates and ash trays in the bog?

I made up a story concerning certification and approval, which seemed to appease. But why?

Well, the are still as valid as they ever were - 'no smoking'... to remind you that there is no smoking.
