I was very kindly invited to visit Scampton on Monday for the Red Arrows family and friends day. The RAF put on on a great flying display although the weather was atrocious during the morning and turned to dry but very grey after lunch, which at least allowed the flying to take place in front of the invited audience. I had a long chat with one of the Red Arrows pilots who saw me with my road car, he was hoping to buy a similiar car in the next few months when he finishes his season with the Red Arrows and moves onto Typhoons.

I was there too with TVRCC , very good day . Third year for me , always a privilege to do anything for the forces . Chance to sit in the Lanc , brilliant , its so small inside .

It's always a shock I think when you realise how small the top escape hatches were! But then they lived off rations then and were generally small in stature back then as opposed to today.
