They were at the Portrush (Co. Antrim) Airshow today so they were probably making their way across. They were due to attend yesterday but the weather prevented their take-off.

I'd loved to have gone up to see them but couldn't make it.

The radio said they were heading to fly over Morecambe Bay (at about 2.55) and on to Blackburn.

Saw them at Dawlish a few weeks ago - something a bit sinister about the way they slowly bank towards you

They flew right over the top of my inlaws house just outside coleraine were they turned to head back over portrush. Quite a sight and they were quite low as well

Ive seen one a few times over the last year or so. Sound great, fly pretty low and the thing that supprised me the most is how small it looked i was expecting it to be huge.

Why are only 2 flying ? Surely there must be more of them left knocking about than that. Are others just in musiems or private collections or something ?

Times on Airframes/Airworthy-ness.

Lots exist, but only Vera and Thumper atm that can fly legally/safely.

I was kayaking down the lake yesterday as they went overhead. At first I thought a very powerful boat was coming, and was bracing myself for the mother of all waves, then realised with some relief that it was overhead. No real idea what height they were at, but it was low.

Followed a few minutes later by the Red Arrows, then, bizarrely, a flock of several hundred Canada geese flying past me at a distance of about ten feet, all just skimming the water.

They did quite a few fly pasts at our local Little Gransden air show on the last Sunday in August. Despite Little Gransden being nothing more than a hamlet it is where the farm run by the Jefferies brothers is located and which has a grass airstrip that Mark Jefferies uses for his aerobatics. Due to his aerobatics success and contacts Mark manages to persuade quite a number of rare aircraft to turn up. This year the show was opened by a full routine from a Spitfire, had the two Lancasters do a number of fly pasts, had a Vulcan pitch up and do a routine and finished off with a full routine by a Hurricane.

Absolutely remarkable show for a hamlet and all in aid of charity!
