What a great programme about a decent bloke who wasn't seeking praise for his achievements.
He just seemed someone who was 'lucky' in his choice of career, had a varied career & was lucky enough to survive unscathed.
One of life's achievers.
Total respect to Winkle Brown.
My nine year son sat & watched it as well. He was enthralled by the programme although the scenes from Belsen upset him a little - to be expected.
At the end of the programme he simply Mr Brown was cool!!!!

Great program about a great bloke. For somebody that has done and seen so much (some of it I am sure he'd rather not have seen) he came across as a humble and down to earth bloke, somebody that you could share a pint with and listen to his stories all evening.
I may have to get my hands on a copy of his book.
