I've met him. My mother organised a day for me and a mate at Lossie when we were 17 to spend a day with a Buccaneer squadron. It was quite a special day, they were live firing Sea Eagle missiles, it was all filmed from take off to landing. We sat in on most of the briefings.

Dave went on to fly the F-117 - a far more pleasurable memory than 'Test Pilot', I'd imagine.

'Samurai' Southwood was also one of the small select group of service pilots that was selected to fly MoD's Me109G 'Black 6'.
