Went here today with my 3 year old and had such a great experience that I feel compelled to let others know.
Not a huge collection but absolutely fascinating none the less. The staff (all volunteers) couldn't do enough and passed on some amazing information.
The museum is on the site of the birthplace of the RFC and has been at the forefront of British aviation since the beginning. It was also humbling to see the first aircraft to fly in the UK.
Samuel Cody was an aviation pioneer and really helped to kicks start flying here. His story is fascinating and well worth knowing if you are interested in UK aviation.
There are 3 simulators that are all available to try out and can be enjoyed by everyone. The exhibits themselves are all in tip top condition and the models (every aircraft produced by the UK (including test aircraft) and a select few international aircraft) are amazingly crafted.
If you ever find yourself in Farnborough with a couple of hours spare I urge you to take a look...its free as well
