Anyone seen a test or write-up about these - http://www.glidefree.com.au/ ?
It’s a kit to add foils to an otherwise normal Laser. Looks like fun but expensive (£4k?).
It’s not something I'd buy at that price but, as a Laser owner its intriguing. I just happened across it when I was looking for something else.

Yes, watched a live demo at the Cairns Boat Show.In 1988.

Just buy an older foiling Moth. Similar cash and at least it's purpose built for the job. In many ways I can't think of anything worse for foiling than a Laser. Big, floppy CSM hull and and un-stayed rig. Hmmmm...
Agreed. They won't be fast, or robust. An older foiling Moth (early Bladerider for example) can be had for around that money and its a much better proposition. The only downside to the Moth would that that it's more difficult to learn on (the Laser would be much easier to sail as it has some stability off the foils), but perseverence is the key.
