More likely to be a controller calling the shots on that one, unless the crew specifically requested that 'routing'. Even with maximum trail dots selected, they still probably wouldn't stretch far enough to complete a giant radar phalous. Why don't people plan for such things?!

(I suspect the 'tip' may be them being turned around to join a hold, left 'plum' is the first turn after passing the fix, and then right 'plum' is them being vectored out of the hold before they can complete an entire circuit. Just a outright guess though - I know sod all about how Manchester operate.)

Pretty mich over the DAYNE hold. I used to be based out of Manch on the 73. I don't recall flying a TOJJA 2B arrival. smile
