Cotswold Airport (Kemble) To Close????

Heard on my local news tonight that the directors of the airport, in partnership with a property developer, have submitted plans to close the airport & develop the site into a housing development complete with its own shopping centre!!!

They want to build 2000 houses & make the site self-sufficient.

I hope that the planners throw the application out. If they don't then that's another airport, as well as part of our aviation heritage, gone forever.

Buried under concrete & houses.......,
