Has anyone ever heard of this? someone commented (on a US trucking forum) about how "In Europe they have different gauges so when trains go between different countries they just swap the bogies over" Immediately BS detector kicked in - then they posted this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3Oqkw-3isc - I'd never heard of this - am I the only one?
Actual changing of bogies is less common today than it used to be. Variable gauge bogies that change gauge on the fly are more commonly used on passenger trains nowadays.

at the repeated use of the word 'bogies'. Interesting topic though, as you were!
