Great news but do you know what makes me really angry... "he thanked God for saving him".
If I was in the coastguard, I would chuck him back in and tell him to double check who is saving him....

He hasn't realised that if there was a god HE wouldn't have capsized the boat to start with... but being stuck on a capsized boat for 66 days can do funny things to your mind.

One of the reasons I carry a PLB when I go out to sea, wouldn't fancy 66 days bobbing about on my own.

I've just fitted one of the newer AIS beacons to my lifejacket too, if you need any convincing have a look at this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPmNo-jo4tg on the basis the best vessel to recover you if you go overboard is your own.

He noticed they were attracted to his clothing when he dunked it in the sea to wash it. Once he had this figured he did this some more and used a net he had to catch the fish.

I don't know if I'm just cynical but something about this doesn't ring true, he looked very healthy for someone who spent 66 days in austere conditions.
