What sort of size are you after?
You could consider having a look through http://www.findafishingboat.com/ as there are usually some nice smaller boats. Personally I wouldn't go too small.

No further help in identifying that dinghy but what about a Windward 14?
Orkney boats are the daddie in this market but there is a new boat on the market. Smartwave boats are foam filled and sealed to be unsinkable. Might be an interesting alternative.

Unfortunately out of my league. I would love a shiny new boat but funds probably won't stretch.
Someone asked what size I wanted, well. I have a Yamaha 25hp 2 stoke outboard. So was thinking something like a 14 ft. Something like the boat pictured would be fantastic.
Another thing though, I used to have a lovely speedboat with a big noisy engine that I used for blasting round the coast. I found that gets boring quite quickly, I also have children now. What I really want to do is explore the many beaches in the area, loads are only accessible by boat or small paths so are always deserted. The v hull on my old boat didn't really allow for getting in to shallow beaches. I've seen the dory type boats pretty much driven right up to knee depth. This is something I will look for.
One last thing would be the ability to launch the boat single handed. My old boat was just about ok if conditions were perfect but mostly needed two pairs of hands. My next boat needs to be lighter .
Budget for boat and trailer needs to be less than 2k if possible.
Any more help would be great.
