Blocked flight on Flightradar

I was looking on flightradar and clicked on this flight. It is showing as "blocked". I have never come across this before.
What would be the reason for this. It seems to be higher than any other aeroplane, been at 42,000ft since I have been following it. Anybody any ideas?

Nothing unusual. It's a bizjet and the vast majority of them are blocked to the general public for privacy and security reasons.

Not real.

447ACA at FL560 is most probably a Mode-S radar station test beacon (a.k.a. parrot, RABM, ...). Those are usually installed in the vicinity of a Mode-S radar station and use a delayed reply to simulate a longer range. The Mode-C altitude reply is used to indicate the radar station status - often a unrealistic value is used.

Thanks for the replies. They have been varied and some have been plausible. I don't understand how a flight can go un-identified/incognito with the security implications this could cause.

Some are military, the others are bizjets. Company CEO jets "seen" on flight trackers flying to certain destinations causes problems with the stock markets and share prices as it's often an indication that a big deal is about to be signed. That's one of several reasons why they're publicly blocked.

Flightradar is only an ads-b based system it is not live ATC. You can also request your aircraft does not show up on the system. Or it's data blocked.

I assume I'm not alone in being far more intrigued by things that don't have an immediate explanation rather than a Thomson flight from Ibiza to Bristol.

90% of the large/loud aircraft that fly directly over my house here in West Wiltshire aren't on FR24 (the remaining 10% are usually on their way to Frankfurt from the US in the early hours of the morning), so it's fun to do a little digging. As it turns out I'm on a frequently used flightpath for USAF stuff going in or our of Fairford (B2s, U2s etc)

No other reason than I was bored and clicked on various flights to have a look. This one appeared, and as I had never seen a "Blocked" flight before became curious.

People on FR24 are the security concern. That's why some flights are blocked. They're not unidentified. On a radar (in most cases), they will show up normally and be wearing a squawk, have a PSR return, have a data block and all the rest of it. It's funny, because a controller would think nothing of a business jet going from Stansted to Dubai, but as soon as it says 'BLOCKED', the internet starts paying attention.
