Nope, it's a double acting hull (wiki).

The ship reverses into the ice, which is pushed down into the props and chopped up.

Well you may be right; all I can say is that photos 1 and 5 show it going 'forwards' into the ice, and there's no mention of double-acting in the text - which you'd think there would be if it was, and it would seem a waste of resources to make a ship capable of breaking ice at both ends when actually one would do...

Pah! far too posh for pushing Ice! I worked on this beauty for 6 years, we took her up to Glacier Bay in Alaska among other places. We just popped over the side with some green paint and a roller afterwards. None of that fancy shiny paint on the rusty green tug!
You wouldn't believe how noisy it is pushing ice!

I was intrigued about Damen's spiel about the vessel being able to go to Papua New Guinea, errrr, any gin palace can go there already. There is nothing about navigating about those parts in a ship that requires anything out of the ordinary (I spent years on ships around that country). Typical builder's rubbish spiel promoted by the Mail.
