I found it painful to watch which is a shame. I believe the main focus is the chinook display next week. Why they couldn't do one team a week instead of dipping into the Reds all the time I don't know.

The VO was unecessarily growly-geezerish but the quality of the footage was excellent I thought.

The narrator is probably the only man who could drown out the Vulcan. Whoever decided we needed that style of narration (and that level of information) needs shooting. Or dropping into the Port Stanley runway. From a Vulcan bombay.

Has there been a good hour long documentary recently on the BBMF ? The Reds do rather get all the attention and I feel a bit over-informed on them now. If they are looking at 4 different displays, focusing on each one would have made for a better show, but I am happy that there is at least a decent hour long show to see.
The narrator I think turned up at the wrong studio and was meant to be booked on some trashy Sky/ITV Britain's hardest/most violent/gangster/hard man type crap.

I'm glad it's not just me. The VO was poor; wrong tone and the continual inappropriate attempts to create suspense where none existed was wearing.

Like others, I'm glad I am not the only one to find the narration really annoying. It reminded me of a typical Sky documentary like the Eddie Stobbart programme where they have to deliver a consignment of perishable garlic eclairs from Bradford to London, and then invent a whole host of "cliff hanger" scenarios to liven up what is a rather boring task. I expected more from the BBC.

Absolutely! How to reduce an otherwise interesting programme into an utter pile of crap you can't watch for more than 15 seconds. All that work - wasted.

The narrator seems to have dialed back the drama this week. Makes it a so much more watchable.
