So if you were asked to put your 10 favourite aircraft in a display what would you pick? You can only pick aircraft of which there are currently flying examples!

I’ll give you the BBMF - Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster - and the Red Arrows as the opening and closing flights, you pick the 10 in the middle…

BBMF
Gladiator
Mosquito
B17
ME262
Harrier
B52
A10
Osprey
Starfighter
SU35
Red Arrows

The bonus question is which plane would you add that is not currently allowed to fly? Although this is likely to become a straight race between Concorde and Vulcan, my vote is for a Wellington.

As far as I know there is no ban on Wellingtons flying.

My 10 would be:

SR-71
Nimrod MR2
Lightning (English Electric)
RNLAF F27 Friendship
AAC Blue Eagles (4 Gazzelle 1 Lynx)
Bugatti 100P
RAF Typhoon
RAF Chinook
B1-B Lancer
DH Mosquito

I've ignored the rule about only being flying examples. After all it is a fantasy airshow!

And as far as I'm aware, there isn't a flying example...

Beaufighter, Typhoon (Hawker) and Whirlwind (not the helicopter) would be my top three

Fantasy...

Canberra
Dakota
SR-71
B17
PBY Catalina
Mustang P51D
V22 Osprey
Nimrod
Hercules C130
Lancaster

And then I'd be flown home in a 1937 aluminium polished Spartan Executive whilst sipping a G&T.

Lots of sentimental reasons as at one point or another I've seen, been in or touched all of the above.

All the Cold War stuff already mentioned. But add in:

The whole V-bomber fleet, (not just the Vulcan)
TU-22 Blinder
TU-160 Blackjack
TU-95 Bear
TU-16 Badger
Mig-25 Foxbat
F-22 Raptor
F-35 Lightening II

And a few other Cold War oddities that I've probably missed.
