Flying scotsman memorabilia

I have just inherited a section of flying Scotsman tyre (wheel) sitting on a brass base . Has anybody on here seen this sort of thing before . There is probably hundreds of them and I assume its not of great value .I am not likely to part with it but am interested in its provenance .
