As discussed on the Varvassi thread.

I've done RTIR many times, first in 1988 on a sigma 33 with Maurice coburn that played Tom Howard on board, nice chap, hopeless on a boat.

Various other boats over the years and most recently on a Nic 55.

Fastest was on a J120 with an elapsed time of 6hrs 18 mins. That was a belter.

It might not be idea for serious racers, but its a great day out.

Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to partake this year although the main race is looking to be Round Ireland for us.

Question for you there's a huntsman moored just past Moody's between A27 and M27 which I often see but Sunday for the first time I saw it running near warsash. What a machine, I know they all look good but any boat that sounds like that and billows out lots of exhaust fumes gets my vote any day of the week!!!

So what model is it?

There's a cluster of Fairey boats at that yard, I suspect the one you are referring to is 'Huntsman', she's a Huntsman 28, hull number 12. White topsides, blue superstructure. Lots of smoke is the Perkins T6.354's, not so may boats still running them.
