HMS Tyne has just returned to home port and I couldn't help but notice they seem to be experimenting with "load distribution" or something...
Must have played havoc with the onboard billiards tournament.

They may be doing any number of things; bunkering(although getting that much of a lean on is bad and will attract the ire of the harbourmaster), ballast or fuel tanks pumped out for inspection or repair, unseen on the other side the ship's crane is lifting heavy things, the deck erks have been careless with fenders/lines and got something caught on the quayside and the tide's come in, or it's HMS Endurance all over again and some erk has flooded the ER.

It's still underway in those pics (the assistant tug is just out of shot to the left of the pic and not yet attached) although a lot slower than is usual for that size of vessel. It came through the harbour mouth like that and trundled to its berth without change to the lean. I would question if perhaps it's a bit broken.

Is that photo taken from the round tower? It looks almost exactly like the view out of a relatives sitting room!

Ballast shenanigans then, or possibly they're coming in for bunkers and have an OCD chiefy who wants all the new fuel in the starboard tanks and the old in the port tanks.
