Yachtmaster Coastal CoC

Can anyone give an idea of a total cost to get a RYA Yachtmaster Coastal (or Offshore) CoC on a powerboat in south of England?

Completely depends on your level of experience as to the cost. What do you have to date?

You could do the CoC exam for just the exam fee and the use of the boat, if you do the coastal skipper course beforehand you get a discount on the required miles.

I don't know about the south of England but I was looking at about £1200 all in of the course and exam up in Scotland

Pretty much no experience.

I've been through the rya site but full packages aren't clear.

I have seen an indication of £7.5k elsewhere for all boat time and exams etc. Just wondered if this was about right including the minimum boat hours you need?

There aren't many doing fast track YM power.

Those that I found were in the region of £10-12k

5 days ab initio to yachtmaster is a very big ask ... 5 days is an upgraders course from coastal skipper or day skipper and a load of experience ...
