Should be able to be seen from near Tower Bridge I would think, as long as you are on south side of river looking north...??

One year I saw them quite clearly from the south bank. I can't remember where I was exactly but it wouldn't have been too far from Tower Bridge.

South Bank is much closer so better view than from Tower Bridge, which is further to the south-east from the flight line.
If you look on Google Maps and draw a straight line along the Mall this will give you the line of flight over central London.

Sorry I meant to type south side of the river although I was possibly around the mid way point between Tower Bridge and SB.

Looking on flightradar, there's a Voyager (c/s TARTN100) stooging around the North Sea atm, presumably it's part of the flypast?

Beaten to it!

There's an A400 and c130 and sentinel with the voyager towards Norfolk. The spit and hurricane are near Cambridge whilst all the helicopters are near Luton
