Hi waiting at Guernsey airport and this plane landed and just wondered what type of plane it is, a colleague thought it was a Gulfstream but I though it was too big?

iPhones/Pads always take a picture with the same orientation (as if the phone was held up normally) and then store the orientation inside the image file - most non iThings ignore this orientation information and assume images always have the same orientation. Non-iThings are more likely to turn the image the 'correct' way up before they save it, so they appear correctly.

Can this be sorted? It's very annoying as I keep banging my head on the desk.

Looks like a Bombardier CRJ-900, which I fly twice a week just now and is a noisy, bouncy little bd. Undercarriage operates with great bang. Sitting over the wings and you hear a procession of cracks and bangs during ascent. Some people hate them.

It is something to do with how I-products take photos. If you rotate the device left for a photo or leave it upright, you won't get the problem, That is how I solved the issue with university software anyway!

Recent Gulfstream aircraft all have oval windows, which are becoming a bit of a signature.

G650, with oval windows

Edit: I zoomed in on the picture and think the tail number is G-CGSJ, which the CAA registration says is a Bombardier Global Express BD700. Registered to a company on Guernsey, originally owned by Tag Aviation and sold to the current owners at 2 years old. Here she is:
