I have just learned that Hannes Arch, aerobatic pilot and RedBull racer has died in a helicopter crash:

I thought he seemed both talented and personable in interviews. He'll be missed.

Usually not too fussed when I read about the death of someone I don't know personally, but I genuinely felt both disbelief and an emptiness when I heard this morning

No indication of cause, but apparently a passenger survived. Night VFR in the mountains carries risks though.
