Looks pretty windy, I suspect Pilot error. We had one at every port on our Med cruise last year, I can't imagine it's any different on the other lines.

I saw an explanation somewhere, which blamed equipment malfunction, which forced the pilot into doing things that he did not want to do.

If my cabin cruiser is anything to go by, when it's windy you need to be very aware of unintended vessel movement or you can get into big trouble fast, and thrusters are a 'get out of jail free' card. I suspect someone wasn't paying attention, or arguing, until it was too late.
