STOLEN! Laser 182220 from Colemere Sailing Club

STOLEN! Laser 182220 with BLUE HULL STRIPE. Turned up at Colemere Sailing Club (North Shropshire) to find my Dad's boat missing from the dinghy park. No forced entry so may have lifted it over the barbed wire fence. All spars, foils and sails (Full and Radial) were inside the blue Rooster cover. Please keep a look out. Many thanks.
My unique colour 1976 Laser (43774) was stolen from The Blue Lagoon yacht club in Beds in the late 1980's and was never recovered. It wasn't just mine that went but nearly all the Lasers. Local plod said that it was a well planned job and needed a very large vehicle to get everything away over a Saturday night and reckoned that they were all down in Spain within a couple of days and sold to boat hire companies, seems they had had some intelligence info to back this up.

Interesting to hear. I doubt we'll ever see it again. It just bugs me that they took that one. It's 10 years old this year and we have much more valuable boats in the park?! Think we'll have to investigate the CCTV route...Yeah, still miss mine too. I'd looked after it and it was immaculate, I bought it when I lived in Southern Africa and brought it back to the UK when we moved back. It was a dark bottle green (the only one in SA at the time) and I still have it's new sail and under-cover in the garage. They took everything except the road trailer that it was on. Insurance only paid out on the hull as they said that the sail, mast, boom, rudder etc. should not have been left in the boat but stored separately.
