Have look at where the engine is in relation to the undercarriage. The undercarriage is rearward of the engine and the plane lands with a nose up attitude.The angle that the plane would have to tilt at to strike the engine is pretty extreme.

Fair point, I was only thinking of a front 2D view.4 engines actually make a pod strike more likely.
