It's a hydroplane isn't it. Prop goes on the back of that tower behind the cockpit. Quite cool actually.

It's a model hydroplane now, but I thought it might have started life as a seaplane float. They are lovely shapes.

Odd how they say it's British, with a British roundel, when the roundel is obviously French.

The fact there are two models of seemingly the same machine would lead one to think it was famous but I've been Googling and failed to find anything.
If you could find what it is based on you would be better placed to estimate its value.

You could try contacting Bonhams and say you have another one and would they be interested.

Could it be an early Royal Canadian Navy roundel? I would expect someone like Bonham's to be accurate on these things.

As for the hull design it looks like a development of the Sopwith Bat Boat
