Decorate your mancave; RAF surplus bits auctioned

Auctioning off a fairly random selection of Tornado, Seaking, Lynx etc bits that have been carefully and painstakingly stored in conditions of controlled temperature and humidity at the taxpayers' expense gathering dust in a warehouse. Pilots' seats look like a good bet, although the 'wing tips' might look good as a wall hanging. Perhaps a Tonka canopy or droptank could be made into the coolest go-cart ever.

Will never forget the look on my mum's face when my dad and I came back from an airshow with a Rapier Missile (drill round).

Incredibly, she came round to the idea of hanging it off the ceiling in the sun lounge. As my dad said, definitely a keeper.

I used to buy interesting bits and pieces of aircraft scrap. I have a couple of fuel filler caps, rather overcomplicated devices, but cool. Also bought a variety of new and sealed in bags Rolls Royce stainless fasteners, bi-hex drive, drilled for lock wire etc. Also scored several other unusual bits that I thought I could adapt to my hot rods.

Not that hard, it appears to be vacuum driven you would just need a decent surplus aircraft vacuum pump and a way of driving that, or a vacuum pump that can provide the required vacuum needed to drive it; oh and a magnetic compass to align it to.

Looks like lots of interesting stuff on there, some of it appears to be new in box too.
