Using a delivery company to move a boat.

My boat is being moved this weekend, and as work pressures won't allow me to move her I've employed a company to sail her from Portishead to Weymouth.
Now the skipper is vastly more experienced than I am, and the company itself receive nothing but positive reviews and come highly recommended.....so why does it feel like I'm lending my wife out to another man for 3 days?

Well, she forgave me and arrived safe and sound in her new marina.

That reminds me of the time whe a friend of mine was awaiting delivery of his new (to him) boat. He was as excited as a kid at Christmas. We went down to the marina to where it was going to be delivered by road. And after a while the low-loader came round the corner. With the wrong boat on the back!

Lovely boat, they sail well by all accounts. Thankfully an uneventful passage, and it was good to see Falmouth's Black Rock
