Not sure if you guys have already seen this but I came across it linked from another site (www.standard.co.uk FWIW).

I thought it was really, really hard so may be challenging even for the likes of Eric...

It's a slightly revised version of the one that was posted here a few months ago.

I did this one too and got 100%.

Be aware though, some of the answers are actually wrong. The plane in the picture is not always the one they claim it to be.

I was expecting that to be a hell of a lot easier.... terrible 38 out of 48 (and some of those were based on flag shown vs answers rather than actual knowledge).

Because of errors in the questions, you might have got a couple right but been marked as wrong - or at least, not recognised the picture as being what the quiz says it is.

No.29 is supposed to be a Republic P-4.3 Lancer. It is not. It is a North American NA-64 - which was a fighter version of the Harvard

No.47 is supposed to be a Lavochkin La-5. I'm not sure it actually is.

Also I think it was one of the earlier questions that had Gannet as an option. Nothing like a Gannet. It should've been Martlet which was the RN term for the aircraft depicted.

Martlet was the original British name for the Grumman F4F Wildcat.

Gannet was the proposed British name for the Grumman F6F Hellcat - but it wasn't generally adopted.

...which is a VERY dry read indeed. Dozens of the pages are just long lists of Ordnance Survey six-figure map references...
