Geeky post alert.

I used to be a part of some great forums that have unfortunately faded away over the years. IL2 sturmovik forum, CWOS, and a couple of others. All full of characters and great laughs and debates. I've never really been able to fill that hole. The il2 forum was the main one for me, I made some good friends through that forum.

I frequent the new il2 forum but its not the same. I also visit the key publishing forum but it doesn't have the good crack, its more grown up and sensible.

Are there any lively and interesting forums for ww2/warbird discussions? A sort of PH for aircraft?

Nothing wrong with this one Eric smile, but its 'boats, planes and trains', as opposed to warbirds, and nowhere near as lively as the old il2 forum was, as anybody who used to go there regularly will tell you.

I guess looking back on it, a lot of the banter and discussion was related to the sim, but I am certain there must be a current equivalent.

eta: just remembered WIX, i'll check that out.

The historic aircraft bit of the Flypast forums is very busy and quite good.

editing to add, I just realised you've put the Key publishing/flypast forum up.
