DeHavilland Gipsy cylinders - interchangeable?
Discussion
Hi all,
I have the chance to acquire a DH Gipsy Six/Queen engine for static display, but 4 cylinders are missing from the crankcase.
I've got a lead on some Gipsy Major cylinders but there seems to be some confusion over whether they will fit. All the info I've found online suggests that the design, bore and stroke is the same as the Six was essentially a Major x1.5 - but a mate who knows a fair bit about these sorts of things insists they are different and they won't fit.
Can anyone confirm either way please?
Thanks!
