Find it amazing they both were able to run to a local farm house yet still died from thier injuries.
I've been to a couple of jobs where people have been burnt (I work in the emergency services) and they have been looking me in the eye and holding a perfectly reasonable conversation with me then, a few days or weeks later, I've heard they're dead. I understand it's often not the burns but the bodies reaction to the burns that gets you. Tragic. thehappyotter said:

Gotta respect you, I couldn't do your job. They're pretty impressive to have run that distance after what they went through. Nikki Lauda's crash and subsequent fight for life is a good illustration of how it can take a while for the true nature of burns damage to become apparent, In Nikki's case his main threat to life was the fluid build up in his lungs due to the smoke damage. His problems with external burns weren't as life threatening.
Very sad news for the two people involved, RIP.
