Hopefully the pilot got out safe. Is this the 3rd loss this year for Eurofighter? An Italian and Saudi one springs to mind?

UPDATE Spokesman of Spain’s Ministry of Defense said the pilot died.

I remember we had a run of 3 Harriers within a month in the late 90's but all 3 pilots made it out. I saw the 1st one crash as I was working on another, a bit surreal as I had that split second thought of "what the hell is he doing" as he ejected.
