Aren't all Dash 8 landings that entertaining? I've arrived sideways on the Isle of Man on one.You can tell how little inertia that aircraft has by the (relatively) small and short control surface movements needed to control that approach.
I'd expect the rudder to be hard over, but it seems to hardly move?
(ie, easy to knock plane off course, but equally as easy to straighten out afterwards)

My thought too - normally you see the control surfaces flapping about like barn doors. A function of the aeroplane, or maybe this pilot doesn't over-correct?I'd expect the rudder to be hard over, but it seems to hardly move?

We live near LBA. The OH's brother lives in Belfast. Only direct way is FlyBe Dash 8 from LBA to BHD. Always fun!My favourite bumpy landing video: https://youtu.be/RfaNapjz8K4
Many years ago, on a cockpit tour of a Fokker F27 Friendship (back when such tours were allowed, just a curtain 'twix flight deck and cabin), flown by Air UK, approaching Guernsey, the captain solemnly explained to me (then aged 12, me not the captain!) how he can even land accurately even in thick sea fog because he uses the tops of the green houses for reference. I remember being impressed, and failing to ask the rather obvious "how do you know you've got the right greenhouses" what with Guernsey being absolutely covered with the things......
