Drive a Train on the Watercress Line

Just had this pop in to my inbox. For a fee you can play train driver for a day through the Hampshire countryside. Looks like a suitable present for Mother's Day or perhaps just a little early Easter present to yourself.

Many of the preserved railway lines offer similar courses with steam or diesel locomotives - they are great fun and very involving! I've done 2 on the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire.

I bagged me a Deltic on the East Lancs a few years ago. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to go full throttle!
