Lancaster Flypadt: Ladybower/Howden/Derwent

Does anyone know if a flypast is planned this year? I’d have thought there should be one on the 75th anniversary of the raid.

Went to the 70th, and again when both airworthy Lancasters were together; both times were quite a sight.

ETA - could the mods correct my spelling error in the title please?

As far as I know, Cullingworth in West Yorkshire hasn't got a Lancaster connection.

That’s just the BBMF flypro so it doesn’t mean it’s the Lancaster at Cullingworth. Also they do flypasts and displays at all kind of events including village fetes so could be that?

The shocking thing is the absolute shambles caused by the BBMF tweeting that the Typhoon flypast was cancelled, when in fact it wasn’t. Totally unprofessional. The whole event was a balls up. I was there.

He can only report on what he’s informed. If the pilot then found a weather window then so be it. Not unprofessional at all weather and flying are very dynamic. If he hadn’t of tweeted that and the plane didn’t show up you all will have still complained.

If it’s dynamic, don’t make hasty statements.
