Very low aircraft possibly c17 over Rushden

Hi just wondering if anyone knows what aircraft was flying very low over the rushden area just after 2pm I've tried the flight radar apps but never get on with them.

You won't find any military aircraft on a flight radar type app.

I did manage to get it to run at the time that I wanted to nothing matched. Guess it could have taken off from Rae Bedford if it's still possible

That rather depend upon whether they are Sqwawking Mode S. You can routinely see military AT & AAR (Air Transport and Tanker) assests of sites like FR24.

The commercial sites filter out almost all military / police / ambulance traffic. ADSB Exchange doesn't, it just shows what people are receiving. You will find that quite a few just show their altitude though.
