Cracking looking boat. Could be perfect for us, but I wonder what the cost is, so few of them that I cannot see one for sale secondhand, so a new one? Must be pushing £200K

Should have gone to specsavers.The Duchy 27 is one of the key reasons why I left Pendennis and moved to Cockwells!
If you could use a boat that gets you from A to B in all weathers, comfortable at speed and at anchor, looks good, has all amenities, and don't need over 20kts, then the Duchy 27 is perfect.
Put it this way, on Friday we left Falmouth at 1400 in to 1.5/2m head sea for the first 30nm of a 70nm passage to Dartmouth, and were tied up and washed down on the Town Jetty by 1830. The next day we went out in the same conditions, but following sea (worse on Start point) and made the 20nm cruise to Salcombe (up towards South Pool) for lunch in 2 hours, Jetty to secured on the mooring. The next day (Sunday) with a much calmer sea we left and cruising at 17kts the whole way Dartmouth to Port Pendennis was a shade under 4 hours and just over 100l of diesel. An excellent weekend!
What is interesting is that all the clients we were with last weekend considered themselves sailors at heart and had between them covered many 10's of thousands of sea miles under sail, but when it came to moving on were drawn to the Duchy range - a sailors motorboat for sure.
