RAF 100 flypast, London. Where to view?

I'll be in London on the 10th July so I'm going to make the effort to watch the flypast. Any ideas on a good viewing spot as I'd rather avoid the crowds around Buck House. I had thought about going to the Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street or one of the parks maybe.

Any other ideas?

Sky Garden would certainly give a good view to the north of them coming in from the north-east on the line of The Mall.

As for parks, then best bet (other than obvious one of next to Mall in St.James Park) would be south-east corner of Hyde Park near Wellington Arch.

The Sky Garden seems to be out of the equation now as the 10th isn't available for online booking. My wife suggested the roof of One New Change next to St Paul's.

One of the bridges would give the best unimpeded view I would have thought. Waterloo or Westminster. But check which one is closest to the flight path.

South end of Waterloo Bridge would be best bet, as very close to flight path along Mall at that point.

If you draw a line between these two Way Points from the issued NOTAMS (COLCHESTER 515516N 0005402E,
FAIRLOP 513554N 0000559E) this is the approximate route it will take. Time due over Colchester is about 12.45-12.50 and Fairlop about 5 mins later.

Non-pilot observation:

Developing the above the NOTAM (thanks for link) for the Red Arrows is quite clear and if you go to the flight planning map for the day that then gives their overall route (but not clearly the northern (BBMF ?) exit) and possibly suggests the break-off south (for the helicopters ?)

I was thinking about London Bridge - bad idea?

The citizen M hotel at tower bridge had an amazing bar and terrace on the top floor, panoramic views of the Thames and it never seems too busy...might need a little blagging involved as the lifts are key card operated...

Not a bad idea as such, but further west would be better if you want to be closer to the flight path.

As said already, Waterloo Bridge is best 'bridge' position.

I'll be heading to Heathrow, i won't catch all the elements but i'll get to see the fighters and with Tornados going next year thats the ones I want ! (also 21 Typhoons will be nice to see)...

I was possibly thinking of on the bank by the Tate modern, Waterloo bridge would be great but working near London Bridge it would mean a very hot trundle down to get there on time.
