Would seem to be a perfectly logical plan in light of Shoreham.

Oops sorry I didn't mean to delete the post smile

I was only going to edit it and say 'I hadn't realised it was public knowledge on the forum already and apologies for the repeated thread'.

I haven't seen it on here so no problem. It is on the UK airshow review forum if you fancy a read.

The original post has been deleted.

Basically pedestrians have been banned from watching outside the airfield at the end of the runway on the road and footpath.

There are enough videos on Youtube of people a bit to close to the threshold on public land getting blasted as aircraft land. it only takes a small misjudgement as we have seen to make it a bit more serious.

Having said that it was quite impressive one FoS Saturday last decade when I came out of Chichester Homebase clutching some 2x1 pine and was confronted by a South African Airways B747-400 head on in a tight turn at about 500 feet. Even took my mind off how much I'd been fleeced for the wood.

Exactly like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnx91OvATjg

Well this clearly wasn't enforced (if true)

Compared to a normal year there were very few people there. Normally it's a struggle to get past all the clutter on the path and when I walked past on Fri/Sat/Sun there were just a few people on the grass verge further down the road. You couldn't view anything at all from the runway end due to the re-routed footpath.
