Apparently it's already a bit of a nightmare in the Liverpool area due to a culvert collapsing and draining something.
We were talking to a couple the other day who'd got stuck in Liverpool, had to get a seaworthiness certificate for their narrowboat in order to cross the river, and then were in a lock with a massive ship which she reckoned was a bit scary.

That's 'market forces' I fear. The difference is that affected boat hirers have already paid £1-2,000 for a holiday they can't have. So just like a holiday anywhere else that gets cancelled, they're entitled to a refund. sfella said:
