I have been watching a Youtube Channel recently called "Curious Droid" I love its content as it focuses on vintage space travel and military aircraft stories.

This recent one I found really interesting about the rocket Jet Figher the SR-177 and how its development lead to Lockheed's very corrupt selling of the Starfigher into numerous international markets.

Plus I new that the Starfigher was a bit of a death trap but the numbers quoted in this video are staggering.

Anyway check it out, its very interesting:

The Starfighter wasn't a death trap, despite the losses by many of its operators. It was the fact that (due to that already mentioned corrupt selling of it) the aircraft was sold to many of those operators for a role that it simply wasn't designed to do, and to one of those operators that at the time simply did not have the experience to operate such a beast, despite the warnings of such from within that did understand this.

Those that operated the 104 in the role it was designed for had a much lower loss rate.
