Flybe- would you book a flight for next year?
Discussion
I’m looking at taking a short break to Paris next January and considering Flybe. However from reading the press, they are looking a little vulnerable at the moment.
Am I right to be cautious or are they sound and just having a blip.
I assume if I do book, use a credit card!
Shame if they go belly up as I use them a lot to fly the Manchester to Aberdeen route.

I see they are advertising summer flight promotions, they are either confident of mad for cash flow. Before the latest developments I booked return flights with Flybe for my family of four, traveling 26 Dec - 7 Jan, I fully expect them to happen. The alternative, a 250 mile each way drive with ferry crossings with my lot has me filled with dread.

January, I wouldn't be so concerned about, May or afterwards I would be. Flybe aren't the same kind of fly-by-night operation as Primera and are accepting that they have a bit of a problem earlier rather than later so they aren't likely so cease operations overnight.Am I right to be cautious or are they sound and just having a blip.

However what's the difference between Flybe and the others (Jet2, Air Frog)? If it's only £20 or so, I'd pay that for peace of mind.
Also a common myth that debit cards do not offer the same protection as debit cards is well... a myth. You can do a chargeback on debit cards.
It would be a shame if Flybe wen't under, they have a few good routes from Southampton.
