Finally, after nearly 10 years since leaving Cunard's service, the ship is now open as a hotel & spa. OK, so it's been open for half a year now, but I've just got back from a trip there and it turned out to be one of the best value rooms in town, and a unique place to stay. It's not exactly pristine, and you have to accept that the decor is true to the ship rather than contemporary, but I'd rather have her being that than a million disposable razor blades!

I really should have taken more, but my iPhone is on it's last legs and I wanted to save some memory to get pics at the Grand Prix!
It's a phased re-opening. Currently there's 200 and something rooms (cabins) that are usable, phase II will release a further 600+. There is a tour that's open to guests and day visitors. Being a boaty type I was hoping it would encompass some of the engineering zones and the bridge, but no.
